Qatari breaks world record for attending most matches

It was unquestionably the result of careful organisation that allowed Hamad Abdulaziz, 39, to attend more than 40 matches during a single FIFA World Cup tournament, and the record is not likely to be beaten anytime soon.

With three hours between each kickoff, Qatar hosted four games each day. According to The Peninsula Qatar, the trip between Al Janoub in Al Wakrah and Al Bayt in Al Khor was the longest distance between stadiums at 75 km. All stadiums were connected by bus and subway systems.

Hamad, a coach with the Generation Awesome Foundation, claimed that as a young child, he had aspirations of competing in the World Cup.

“And as the kick-off came, I found a way to contribute to the success of the tournament while demonstrating how everything was organised and how simple it was to go between one stadium and another,” he told The Peninsula Qatar.

It seems that Hamad had planned this for some time. Before the competition started, he called Guinness World Records to make sure he was aware of all the conditions. He was informed that he would require two witnesses who could attest to his attendance of the entire contest before and after it had ended.

The record-holder revealed that his brother drove him between the bouts, which assisted him throughout the process. As a person could only attend a maximum of three matches per day, he claimed that there were numerous “near calls.”

He “was able to shatter the record, even with just one hour between the end of one match and the start of another, thanks to his brother,” according to his brother.

He found it challenging to persuade fans of losing teams to confirm his attendance. He claimed that occasionally the witness would leave the scene before the game was over, leaving him without a witness signature. He described the experience as giving him “endless headaches,” but he soon realised that each match required more than three witnesses.

The man said with pleasure that most individuals were quite helpful,

In 2017, Hamad enrolled in Generation Awesome, a programme for social and human legacy. A graduate of Hamad bin Khalifa University with a master’s degree in Islamic finance, he had previously worked in the banking industry. He shifted his career focus in 2017. With the initiative, which uses soccer to teach valuable life skills to marginalised populations, Hamad serves as a master coach.

Hamad considers himself lucky to have contributed to the success of the competition.

He stated he was delighted to have contributed to the development of the nation, “from helping Generation Awesome attain 1 million beneficiaries to breaking the global record for attending matches.”

Even the oleoylethanolamide oleic acid derivative demonstrates anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Others have recommended it as a successful treatment option for obesity.

Further research indicates that oleic acid affects epigenetic pathways as well as the immune system by controlling cells associated with inflammation (direct alterations of DNA and DNA-associated proteins).
