Two soldiers martyred in N Waziristan gunfight with terrorists. Two soldiers accepted martyrdom amid a fierce gunfight between security forces and militants on Sunday in the North Waziristan neighbourhood of Spinwam.
Two terrorists were shot dead and two were captured after the military successfully engaged the terrorists’ location, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations on Monday.
The military’s media wing stated that “weapons and ammunition were also confiscated from the terrorists who remained actively engaged in terrorist actions against security forces and murdering of innocent persons.”
Sepoy Imran Ullah, 25, a native of District Bajaur, and Sepoy Afzal Khan, 21, a resident of District Upper Dir, were two of the troops who were killed in action.
The ISPR further stated that the location is being sanitised in order to get rid of any terrorists discovered there.
According to the statement, “Pakistan Army is dedicated to eliminate the threat of terrorism, and such sacrifices of our heroic warriors further enhance our determination.”
The civil and military leadership of Pakistan have made the decision to fight terrorism together as long as it continues to grip the nation.
Last Friday, the National Apex Committee, which is made up of the senior military and political figures in the nation, sought to forge a unifying national consensus to combat militancy.
The recent terrorist assaults in Pakistan’s rural and urban centres, which claimed the lives of innocent Pakistanis and law enforcement officers, have prompted the security forces and LEAs to step up their efforts to combat the terrorists.
